We are looking for a Student Counselor to build and nurture close relationships with students from all of our academic programs to help optimise their learning success and satisfaction.

General Description:

As a Student Counselor, you will work hand in hand with the larger Faculty Ops Team to help students to excel in their course by offering them counseling help, both academic or personal. Our program is designed to be an intensive course that requires a huge investment in time and energy, hence many issues and stress might build up along the way. To ensure we can achieve this goal, we would expect you to be proactive in checking the students wellbeing as well as responsive to any urgent matter raised by them.


To help students navigate optimally throughout our learning programs, it is expected that you:

  • Work with the faculty ops team to track, address and solve student cases as they arise.
  • Become a trusted point of contact for students to understand their issues and facilitate solutions directly or via the relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Reach out proactively to students facing issues indicated by factors such as negative trends in academic performance, low attendance, missed assignment deadlines, complaints by peers, and poor feedback scores.
  • Develop practical frameworks to help students define their personal learning goals and hold coaching sessions if required.
  • Observe patterns in student behaviour to identify and suggest better methodologies for the admissions team to filter non-performers.
  • Evaluate students at the start of every batch to help faculty ops to organize students into more effective sections, study groups, and project teams.
  • Closely review the admissions profiles of all students in new batches to assist the faculty ops teams to flag high risk individuals to anticipate potential conflicts with peers.
  • Provide input to the next team on students that continue to labs and career placement services to improve their adjustment period and career direction.


  • Psychology background preferred, ideally with 1-2 years of counselling experience.
  • Excellent active listening and communication skills.
  • Socially perceptive with patience, friendliness, and accommodating personality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and mediation skills.
  • Ability to speak and write in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Passionate about the counseling profession.
  • Love to teach, share knowledge, and look to have a positive impact on society.
  • Analytical and enjoys working with others.
  • Proactive, independant and detail oriented.
